Imaging in the Arts, Humanities, and Society

Images, the way we perceive them, and the way they make us act or feel, impact our daily lives as individuals, and collectively as a society.  Painters, photographers, and other artists have long realized how the visual arts affect us, and how our responses make us human.  The generation of advanced three-dimensional architectural models visualized on computers has dramatically changed the way we design and live in our environment, and sophisticated urban planning models have revealed how we live and participate as societies.
